Crusaders Football Club have been involved with the Youth Sport Programme for 10 years and we are delighted to announce that this involvement will continue, with the After-Schools Programme.

This is something we feel is very important, not only for the children and the schools, but also for Crusaders F.C. as a community based club.

Once again the coaching involves boys and girls of all standards working at the grassroots level and is between 3pm and 4pm at the schools. At present we are coaching in 6 after-school clubs and we are delighted with the excellent relationship with Youth Sport co-ordinators Julie Graham from Castle High School and Simon Smyth from Newtownabbey Community College. Thanks to them for all their hard work they put in during the school term.

Crusaders Football Club also had the honour of having Charlie Boyd voted Youth Sport Coach of the Year during his first spell with the club in 2001, for the Belfast Education and Library Board.

We are also keen to develop more after-school clubs and would be delighted to hear from any school.
