Coleraine Res 1 Crusaders Reserves 3

Crusaders Reserves had convincing 3-1 win away to Coleraine Reserves. Crusaders Reserves nearly took the lead in the first five minutes when Turner crossed for Caddell and his shot was saved by the keepers legs with Turner following up but again the keeper saved. Crusaders Reserves took the lead after 15 minutes when a Collins throw in found Boylan and his pinpoint cross was touched home by Rossatto from 6 yards. Coleraine Reserves equalised immediately when Crusaders Reserves failed to clear and the opposing No.9 beat the offside trap and had a one on one with Murphy, his first effort hit the post but he followed up to score. Rossatto nearly restored the lead for Crusaders Reserves but his quick turn and shot was well saved by the keeper. Murphy made a fine save down to the right when again Coleraine Reserves burst clear. Turner had another effort tipped over for a corner from 25 yards. Both keepers were in top form and Murphy tipped over from an effort from 15 yards.
 
Crusaders Reserves dominated the second half. Barrett outsprinted the defence and his cross fell to Boylan but his effort was blocked from close range. Another testing Barrett cross was headed clear from under the bar. Crusaders Reserves took the lead after an Anderson pass found Rossatto and his layback was fired home into the the corner of the net from Caddell from just inside the eighteen. Again Coleraine Reserves nearly equalised when a free header was well saved by Murphy. Crusaders Reserves put the game out of reach when sub Cowan beat three defenders and shot into the roof of the net.
