Crusaders Reserves suffered their first defeat of 2010 going down 2-1 to Dungannon Reserves in midweek. Crusaders Reserves suffered an early setback after 5 minutes when Dungannon Reserves took the lead. After a long ball into the box Crusaders Reserves failed to clear the danger twice and the ball was driven home into the bottom corner of the net from 25 yards. Crusaders Reserves responded quickly and equalised 5 minutes later when Boylan crossed to the unmarked Barrett and his effort from 12 yards was deflected into the net. Cowan should have scored with a free header from close range after a pinpoint cross from Collins but his effort went wide. A long clearance from Hogg was flicked on by Arthurs to put Faulkner clear but his lob went the wrong side of the post. Hogg made a great save down to his right to deny Dungannon Swifts.
 
Crusaders Reserves again conceded early in the half after losing possession in midfield and Dungannon Reserves broke away to score.  Barrett had an effort hit the top of the bar and bounced to safety. Hogg again came to Crusaders Reserves rescue saving brilliantly at a forwards feet. Arthurs, Faulkner, Cowan and Barrett all had efforts but some good goalkeeping and defending from Dungannon Reserves thwarted every chance and they held on for a win.
