Crusaders Res 2 Glentoran 2nds 2

Crusaders Reserves fought back twice to earn a creditable draw against Glentoran 2nds at Seaview in the midweek game. Glentoran had the best of the first half and took the lead when a cross from the left was headed home by Hall from eighteen yards. Crusaders Reserves chances were limited and Boylan shot wide from 22 yards. Hogg denied Glentoran 2nds saving well from Berry. Hogg again saved well from a Gardiner free kick.
 
Crusaders Reserves improved in the second half and equalised when the immpressive Faulkner fed Martin on the right and his cross was blasted into the roof of the net at back post from Barrett. Faulkner won possession in midfield and slipped a fine pass to Cowan but his effort was saved by the keepers feet at the expense of a corner. Glentoran 2nds regained the lead when a long free kick was headed in off the post by Gardiner. Crusaders Reserves equalised with 10 minutes remaining when Quinn won the ball in his own half and played a one two with Faulkner and Quinn scored into the bottom corner of the net from the edge of the box. Crusaders Reserves nearly won the game in the last minute when Turner hit bar with a fine effort from 25 yards.
