Linfield Swifts 3 Crusaders Res 3

Crusaders fought back from 2 goals down at half time to earn a point away to Linfield Swifts. Crusaders Reserves opened the scoring after 25 minutes when Quinn won possession and fed Cowan who played Boylan through and he shot home from 15 yards. Within seven minutes Linfield Swifts scored three goals. Crusaders Reserves missed a clearance at right back and the Linfield Swifts No.10 raced clear to shoot home into the bottom corner of the net. The Swifts scored a second from a free header from a corner and added a third after a fine strike from the edge of the box hit the bar and an incoming forward raced in to head home.
 
Crusaders Reserves dominated the second half and scored immediately from the restart when a Turner free kick was headed home at the back post by Murray. Boylan released Cowan but his effort effort was touched over from the Linfield Swifts keeper. Crusaders Reserves equalised when Boylan was upended in the box and Collins scored from the spot. Crusaders Reserves were denied victory when a Cowan shot was clearly over the line but the referee somehow  let play to continue.
