We really look forward to hearing what he has to say on this occasion. We also had hoped to have Glen Dunlop but he is unable to come along this time due to other commitments. We will also have a top class musical act Ken Gribben to entertain you right up to kick off time, and of Course our Manager Stephen Baxter.

We have an interesting line up for the coming lunches throughout the season, Jim Gracey makes a welcome return, Patrick Nelson CEO of Irish FA plus one or two other well known personalities and some comedy and music acts.

DEFENCE OF SHIELD BEGINS     05.09.10

V

Crusaders start their defence of the Paddy Power sponsored Co. Antrim Shield when they travel to the Ballymena Showgrounds on Tuesday night. Having beaten them 2-1 so dramatically last week with two late goals and also not playing at the weekend Crusaders will go into the game with a possible slight advantage but Roy Walker will have his team fired up as usual.

With only eight teams in the competition it will be a great chance to retain the Shield and enjoy yet more success down Seaview way.

Please take note of the match start time of 7.30pm

Details of Supporters Bus Travel can be found by clicking on the Away Day Travel link on this page.

BEST WISHES TO ALEX GALBRAITH     05.09.10

Everyone at Crusaders Football Club would like to pass on their best wishes to young fan Alex Galbraith who is currently in hospital due to illness. Alex and his family never miss a home game at Seaview and hopefully it will not be long before they are back at Seaview as a family enjoying Crusaders victories.

Get well soon Alex.

RESERVES EARN DRAW AGAINST LINFIELD BIG GUNS     04.09.10

Crusaders Reserves drew 2-2 with a very strong Linfield Swifts side at a rainy Seaview. Linfield Swifts had the likes of Michael Gault, Billy Joe Burns, Steven Douglas, Michael Carvill and Mark McAllister playing today but the "young guns" where not in awe and matched them in all quarters.

Even when they went a goal down on two occasions they battled away and Ben Roy was on hand to score twice. Indeed Crusaders Reserves could have had a victory had it not have been for a great save by Stuart Addis and the follow up shot cleared off the line by a Linfield Swifts defender in the closing seconds.

SEC STANDING ORDER SCHEME

The SEC appreciates the help all supporters give to golden goals and 50/50 draws. In order to keep a regular income coming to help Crusaders we have started a standing order scheme where anyone can donate on a regular monthly basis. There is no set amount it can be a little or as much as you wish to give. This type of scheme has proved popular and profitable at other clubs and will be a great help particularly over the summer when the SEC has nothing coming in but the bills still have to be paid. We would ask you to click on the link and print off a form to fill in. If you so wish this can be done anonymously as it is between you and your bank. So thanks in anticipation and click on the following link to print off the form.
