Crusaders v Larne Preview

It's Semi Final action on Tuesday night as Crusaders meet Larne in the Co. Antrim Shield. The game should be an absolute cracker as high flying Championship side Larne will be out to beat a Premiership side while Crusaders will not want to lose the grasp on the Shield they are the current holders of.

Crusaders could possibly ring the changes for this one and the full squads strengths will be used. Expect Harry Doherty to start again in goals while Billy Joe Burns could return to the line up after coming on as sub on Saturday. He may be joined by Howard Beverland and Mark McChrystal should Stephen Baxter decide to rest some more at the back. Declan Caddell will return for selection after suspension and the midfield could also be changed with several who have been on the bench getting the chance to start as has been the case before. Jordan Owens will not play due to a thigh injury so Rory Patterson should lead the line once again.

Larne will look at this game as a chance not only to reach their first senior final in many years but also a chance to test themselves against higher opposition. Larne are running away with the Championship but they know this game will be different. They are a threat all over the park and ex Crusaders player Martin Donnelly is finding the goal for them on quite a few occasions and will need watched. Tieran Lynch will have done his homework for this one and will go into the game with nothing to lose.

It is a CASH GATE with Admission £11 &7.  Crusaders supporters enter by Turnstiles 1&2 at Creations to go to the main stand or Turnstiles 5&6  at the McDonald Centre to enter the terracing or Harry Corry Stand.
