Glentoran v Crusaders Preview

Crusaders start December in the Danske Bank Premiership with a short trip across to East Belfast to play Glentoran at The Oval. Crusaders will  be wishing to continue this unbeaten run they are now on and Glentoran will wish to stop an alarming slide they are currently going through.

Crusaders will probably make a few tweaks from Tuesday nights game as they look to keep players fit as we enter the traditional busy period. Mark McChrystal and Howard Beverland could be in line for a recall in defence or a place on the bench at least. In midield where the starting positions are hotly contested the starting players from Tuesday may hold their spot and Michael Carvill and Jamie Glackin having to start from the bench if selected. Jordan Owens will miss the game through injury and Rory Patterson will lead the line. Stephen Baxter will look back to a few weeks when Crusaders won at The Oval in the League Cup and the way they won the game and he will expect the same again for this one.

Glentorans recent slump of form will have the management team worried but they will address the situation which Crusaders will be wary of. Curtis Allen misses the game for personal reasons but John McGuigan is available again so he will probably start. Conor Pepper misses through suspension so Glentoran will have to shuffle the pack. They will be aware that Crusaders have already beaten twice this season and will not want a third before Christmas has even started.

So an interesting game ahead and it all kicks off at 3pm. Crusaders occupy the City End and admission is £11 & £7. We have been asked to pass on to Crusaders supporters to please respect the local residents around the Oval by watching where you park in the surrounding and to avoid parking in front of driveways and on footpaths, Your co operation is appreciated by everyone around the ground. Let's get over in numbers to "The East" and get once again right behind Stephen and the team. Your support can be heard and seen so do it all again and help us on the journey. Keep The Faith.
