Crusaders In Five Star Derby Day Performance

 It was Derby day delight for Crusaders as they won 5-1 today at Solitude against Cliftonville.

The day started well with David Cushley scoring a 2 minute penalty before Paul Heatley doubled the lead with a cracker that went in via the underside of the bar on from a tight angle on 13 minutes. Crusaders controlled the entire half and Cliftonville where lucky to go in only two down at half time.

The second half began like the first with Crusaders scoring early on. David Cushley collected the ball cut in and unleashed an unstoppable shot past Brush to make it 3-0 on 50 minutes. Paul Heatley scored his second and Crusaders fourth on 73 minutes with a good finish before he completed his hat trick with four minutes left when he tapped in from a David Cushley pass leaving it 5-1 at full time.
