Crusaders v Ballymena United Preview

The first day in 2019 sees an absolute cracking game at Seaview taking place when Premiership leaders Ballymena United come to Seaview to play Crusaders. It is a game that could prove pivotal in the Premiership down the line and both sides know how important it is to get a result in their favour.

Crusaders could have a few changes in the line up from Saturday as Colin Coates is available again to play while Howard Beverland could miss out after coming off injured. Sean O'Neill should continue in nets with Billy Joe Burns and Michael Ruddy set to play again at the back if fit. Midfield has been superb over Christmas no matter who has played so Paul Heatley, Jordan Forsythe, Philip Lowry and Ross Clarke could start again in this one. David Cushley has been sensational over the Christmas period and will start again. Stephen at the same time could make a tactical change and rest some of the warriors from the last few games giving the side some new push in the right areas. Stephen will again ask for a top performance as we push to tighten the gap at the top.

Ballymena United have been breaking all sorts of club records as they lead the top of the Premiership. David Jeffrey has put a side together that seems unbeatable but they know that Crusaders are a side that could do damage and will be set to battle this one out. A draw on Boxing Day against Coleraine was the first stumble in a while and they have options all over the park to hurt. Cathair Friel is the man Crusaders need to watch but Jonny McMurray got back to scoring goals recently and Adam Leckey is also a threat and needs watched.

So all set for a smashing game. It could be a possible sellout and you can buy tickets on the club website for the game. We want you there in large numbers like you have been doing over the holiday games to get behind us once again. We cannot thank you enough for the following and one more time is all we ask. Bring flags, hats, scarves and your voices. Make it count and help us to victory once again. Keep The Faith.
