Crusaders eased past Institute at The Brandywell with a convincing 3-1 win.
A commanding first half performance saw Paul Heatley score after thirteen minutes and Crusaders looked threatening at every attack. They had to wait until shortly before the half time whistle when they scored two goals in two minutes when Rory Patterson and Ronam Hale both netted.
3-0 up at half time the second half did not live up to the pervious 45 minutes where again Crusaders where the better side but failed to score again. Institute scored a consolation goal with a good effort from Michael McCrudden but it was too late to mount a comeback and Crusaders where the winners.
