Linfield v Crusaders Preview

It's a change of competition this week as the Tennents Irish Cup takes centre stage and Crusaders travel to Linfield in the 6th Round. It is yet another "Clash Of The Titans" as the teams go head to head again and Crusaders will be looking to beat LInfield for the first time this season.

Crusaders will wait to see if Gerard Doherty has recovered sufficently to return to goals after coming off injured at half time last week against Institute but Sean O'Neill will be ready to take his place if called on. Defensively we could see a few changes again as players return from suspension and we could see Howard Beverland and Michael Ruddy stake a claim to play after serving suspensions. Midfield will be hard to pick but we could see Declan Caddell start after being a sub last week and Rory Hale should play again after impressive displays with Paul Heatley on the other wing. It leaves the last spot to be fought out between a host of big players and we wait to see who gets the nod. Jordan Owens could be recalled after sitting on the bench last week but Rory Patterson and Ronan Hale both played well last week with both scoring and Stephen Baxter has a big decison to make.

Linfield will choose between new loan signing Conor Mitchell or stick with Gareth Deane in goals but apart from that it could be as you where from Monday nights win over Glentoran. Jordan Stewart and Andy Waterworth with lead from the front again or David Healy may stick Michael O'Connor in and give others a rest. Defensively Linfield are strong and Jimmy Callagher and Josh Robinson should start in the middle while Jamie Mulgrew will control midfield.

So another big game and we want you there as always. Tickets will be available from the ticket booth on the approach to The North Stand and are priced at £11 Adult and £7 Concession. It would be great to have another be following as we try and progress in a competition we last won in 2009. Come along and wear the Red and Black with Pride and get behind the lads from the beginning.Keep The Faith.
