Crusaders Supporters will occupy the Main ‘Home’ Stand at Ballymena Showgrounds.#
Crusaders Fans travelling to the County Antrim Shield Final at Ballymena Showgrounds for the 1945 hours kick-off on Tuesday 5thFebruary 2019 are requested to approach the Stadium from the M2 exit Signposted for Ecos Centre/Broughshane/Cushendall (Exit 11).
Having exited the Motorway, Crusaders fans should travel towards the Town Centre, turning Left at the first Roundabout sign-posted ‘Ecos Centre’. Travel along Kernohans Lane and take directions for ‘The Showgrounds’. Entry to the Main Stand will be via the turnstiles beside the main ‘Home’ Stand.
Police are reminding fans that there are specific offences created by the Justice Act NI 2011 in relation to soccer matches-
- Possession of Fireworks/ Flares etc
- Throwing Articles capable of causing injury
- Going on to the Playing area
- Sectarian Chanting
- Drinking on Passenger Carrying Vehicles
Maximum Use of CCTV, Landrover Roof Top and Hand Held Video Evidence Equipment will be made both inside and outside the Stadium as part of the Policing Operation Criminal Justice Strategy in an effort to deal with any offences which come to light.
Police will take all steps to identify and deal with anyone who has been or is committing offences.
It is hoped that a common sense approach to the evening will be adopted and the occasion enjoyed by all.
