Crusaders travel to Coleraine on Tuesday night in the penultimate game in this seasons Danske Bank Premiership. Defeat on Saturday past dropped Crusaders to fourth place in the table and they will want a win and hope Glenavon lose to Ballymena United to jump back into third. Coleraine are already safely in the European play off spot but will still aim for a win.
Stephen Baxter will look at his injury hit squad and will pick a team from those who are fit to play. Gerard Doherty and Jordan Owens both left the game early on Saturday after picking up injuries and will be rested for this game.Billy Joe Burns and David Cushley both return from suspension and could be used. It means Harry Doherty looks set to start in goals and the returning Burns slipping back into his usual position and Jordan Forsythe pushed forward to midfield. Cushleys return could mean resting a few in the middle and we may also see Sean Ward and Philip Lowry starting and being on the bench against Cliftonville. With the Irish Cup Final not far away Stephen will be hoping not to pick any more injuries and will be careful with his selection.
Coleraine are already in a European play off spot but Rodney McAree will be looking a win to keep momentum going. Coleraine where beaten 1-0 on Saturday by Ballymena United and Rodney McAree will be looking a reaction from his players against Crusaders. Coleraines season has not lived up the expections they had hoped for but a strong finish and the chance of that European spot will spur them on in this one. Goal threats come from several areas and Shiels, McLaughlin and Bradley are the main ones Crusaders will watch out for.
So we go again and we would like you there. Finish the holiday break by coming up to Coleraine on Tuesday night and getting behind the lads again. The game kicks off at 7.45pm and admission is £11 & £7. Keep The Faith.
