It was a bad night for Crusaders as they lost 4-2 to Coleraine at the Coleraine Showgrounds in the penultimate Danske Bank Premiership game of the season.
Both sides did not produce anything spectacular in the first 25 minutes of the game but it changed when when Harry Doherty failed to reach a ball he had committed himself too getting and Jamie Glackin crossed to Jamie McGonigle who chested home on 26 minutes. It was 2-0 soon after when McGonigle ran on to a good pass and slipped the ball past Harry Doherty but Crusaders got a goal back before half time when Michael Ruddy controlled a Jordan Forsythe ball through with his chest and volleyed home.
Coleraine went further ahead again in the second half when Cormac Burke long range shot deflected off Jamie Glackin wrong footing Harry Doherty and it was 3-1 but Crusaders again pulled one back from the spot when David Cushley slotted home after Paul Heatley was tripped. Crusaders thoughts of a come back where dashed again as Jamie McGonigle collected his hat trick on 66 minutes when a long range free kick went over the ball and bounced in front of Harry Doherty who could not save the shot and it went in.
No way back for Crusaders from there and it ended 4-2 to Coleraine.
