Crusaders tonight earned a good 1-0 win over Scottish Premiership side Motherwell at Seaview. In a game that was played at a very sunny Seaview both sides served up a decent game given the heat and it was a Rory Hale goal midway through the first half that proved the difference.
The ball fell kindly to Rory Hale after it bounced off Jordan Owens and he was quick to react and poked the ball high and past Trevor Carsons out stretched hand from five yards to put Crusaders ahead. Both sides had chances and Crusaders where looking good when they attacked and some of the link up play was good to watch.
Motherwell played a completely different eleven to the first half but Crusaders stuck to the task and kept them at bay. Sean O'Neill made several good stops to keep the visitors from scoring and Motherwell just could not find a way past O'Neill or his defence in front of him. Stephen Baxter made changes on several occasions in the second half to give everyone a run out and they all played their pasrt in the win.
So two wins in two for the team and they now look forward to Saturday where Ards are the next team they play at Seaview (3pm)
