Crusaders stay undefeated for the season so far after a dramatic game at Seaview that saw Sean O'Neill save a 93rd minute penalty to help Crusaders win 3-2 against Glenavon in the Danske Bank Premiership.
Glenavon opened the scoring in the first minute when Rhys Marshall headed home but Crusaders where back on terms in the 13th minute when Paul Heatley scored with a bicycle kick that will be a Goal of the Season contender next May. Crusaders went ahead in the 54th minute when Philip Lowry scored a close range header and made it 2-1. Glenavon equalised on 69 minutes from the penalty spot when Howard Beverland was judged to have held his opponent in the box and Mitchell put past O'Neill. Crusaders though went ahead 3-2 from the penalty spot on 79 minutes when Paul Heatley was fouled and David Cushley calmly slotted home. The drama wasn't over and in the 93rd minute Glenavon got their second penalty of the day when McCloskey was apparently fouled. Up stepped Josh Daniels but Sean O'Neill saved superbly with his feet and the whistle blew for a 3-2 Crusaders win.
