It was Crusaders back to their best today when they swept aside Glentoran and opened up a five poibt gap at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership.
It was Crusaders who scored early when Jordan Owens scored a trade mark back post header from a great Ross Clarke free kick and from that they built the solid start and kept Glentoran at bay.
It wasn't until the second half though when Crusaders went up the gears and they where 2-0 up when Paul Heatley hit the sweetest of shots from nearly 30 yards into the net. It was 3-0 on the hour when Billy Joe Burns scored from the penalty spot after a Glentoran handball before Glentoran pulled a goal back when Heron scored from a Glentoran free kick that hit the post before dropping to him. Crusaders weren't finished and Owens got his second of the game when he scored into the roof of the net after good work from Ross Clarke. Crusaders scores again with minutes remaining when a Ross Clarke shot managed to squeeze past the Glentoran keeper. Glentoran got a second in the last seconds when they scored a well struck free kick but the final score of 5-2 really showed Crusaders dominance.
