Friday night football this week in the Danske Bank Premiership as Crusaders travel down the M1 to Stangmore Park to play Dungannon Swifts in Match Day 29. Crusaders are looking to stay unbeaten in the Premiership in 2017 and keep their distance from second placed Linfield while Dungannon Swifts are looking the points to break into the top half of the table.
Crusaders will be in positive form going into the game and the manner of their win against Ballymena United will have pleased Stephen Baxter. Sean O'Neill should be in nets and the back four of Billy Joe Burns, Colin Coates, Howard Beverland and Craig McClean will be in front of him. Declan Caddell and Paul Heatley return for selection after missing last weeks game through suspension so the midfield will see change again if they are picked to start and they could slot back in alongside Jordan Forsythe, Gavin Whyte and David Cushley as one possible formation. Up front Jordan Owens will lead the line again and he will be looking to add to his goal tally for the season so far.
Dungannon Swifts have won only once since the new year but Rodney McAree will hoping to turn this around and get into the top six. He will look to the late defeat the last time the sides met at Stangmore for ways of reversing the score. They are of course without leading scorer Andrew Mitchell because of injury but they do still have several players who can make life difficult for the Crusaders defence. Defensively David Armstrong is a key player and Andy Coleman in nets can be the difference in results.
The two sides have already met twice this season with Crusaders winning both (3-1 & 1-0)
