Institute v Crusaders Preview

Crusaders are off to Londonderry this Saturday as they visit The Brandywell for the second time this season to play Institute in the Danske Bank Premiership. Crusaders will look to put last Saturdays defeat behind them while Institute will be looking to do the same after a heavy loss to Warrenpoint Town.

Crusaders will possibly use the strength in the squad for this one after a bruising battle against Linfield last week so we may see changes happen all over the park. Gerard Doherty should remain in nets once again at a ground he knows well and he could see a few changes in front of him. Again Rory Hale and Ronan Hale both know the ground very well along with Rory Patterson who scored there back in September and all will be looking a start. David Cushley should retain his place even though he was substituted at half time against Linfield but we could see Michael Carvill and Matthew Snoddy getting game time in the middle of the park should Stephen Baxter decide to mix it up. Last week is now a distant memory but a win will really put it out of the players minds and the winning mentality will return ahead of two further important games next month.

Institute are resigned to losing star man Michael McCrudden over the next few days so we may not see him start as he looks to sort out his future. Institute suffered a 4-0 defeat last week and this was a shock to many as they had been playing so well of late leaving them in seventh place in the table. Paddy McLaughlin will want his players to come back from that but he will also be mindful of Crusaders 4-1 win last time they met at The Brandywell so he could take a cautious approach. If Mccrudden does not play Institute will look to Joe McCready for goals.

So off we go on a road trip to Londonderry and it would be good to see you travel with us. If you are travelling be careful on the road up and down and show your support to the lads as we keep battling away on the pitch. There is still a lot to play for and the team will keep fighting and winning every week and we want you there with us. Keep The Faith.
