Crusaders Start Defence Of Shield Against Sirocco Works

Crusaders begin the defence of Co.Antrim Shield when they play Sirocco Works at Seaview on Tuesday night (7.45pm) It's a competition that Crusaders enjoy being in having played in the last three finals winning the last two and they will certainly go for it again.

We will probably see changes in the starting XI for this one as Stephen Baxter will use the depth of the squad as he takes a few out to rest them. Gerard Doherty, Kyle Owens, Rodney Brown and Matthew Snoddy could all feature in this one as they get game time. We will see if Colin Coates. Billy Joe Burns and a few others who missed out on Saturday through injury may return also but they will be assessed before that call is made.

Sirocco works come from East Belfast and play in the Amateur League 1A. This is the first time they have played in the competition and will certainbly be out to give Crusaders a tough game. Manager Darren Frame will tell his team not to be overawed with the occasion and enjoy the game and see what happens.

The game kicks off at 7.45pm and will be played to a finish. Season Tickets are not valid for this game and admission is £8 Adult and £5 Concession. Come down and get behind the lads and see them hopefully progress to the next round. Keep The Faith.
