Rory Hale Secures Win Over Linfield

Crusaders tonight extended their lead at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership with a hard fought and well earned 1-0 win over Linfield at Seaview in front of a packed house and live on BBC2 Sport cameras.

It was a high paced but cagey affair and both sides cancelled each other out in the first half. It was a half of little chances but Jordan Owens was a constant thorn in Linfields side winning every header going. Crusaders kepy Hery and Lavery quiet as Linfield could not gain any momemtum in the game.

The second half was only minutes old when Rory Hale changed the game. The ball fell kindly to him and after looking up he flicked the ball high and wide over Linfield keeper Ferguson from 22 yards into the net to send Crusaders fans into a frenzy. Linfield worked hard but Crusaders to a man kept their chances to a minimum and the only time they threatened Gerard Doherty was in the last minute when he saved well with his legs.
